My Girl

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

Love. This. Girl.

And before my husband makes a rude comment...I am not a professional photographer and therefore it is perfectly acceptable if I cut off part of her head when taking pictures. Thankyouverymuch.

Oh, and those hands in the mouth. We have four teeth in sight. Ouch for mama very soon I am afraid!

Fridays

Fridays have become our some what regular playdate days with Miss Addison. Can't wait to see her and her Mommy later today!

Today is big day. We have Mickey Mouse Clubhouse underwear to give to her and she has Brian's favorite peppermint/white chocolate Hershey kisses to give to him (all the way from Hershey, Pennsylvania!!). Both of their days will be made when this exchange happens!

For The Boys Not Pictured

Uncle Jon is forever complaining that he is rarely featured on the blog. Then last week when I threw up the post with a mish mash of pictures, Shawn said, "I wasn't in any of those pictures." I did notice that by the way. So I figured I had better start taking some Daddy pictures. And posting them on the blog.

So here you go boys...

The shoulder carry, Brian's new favorite!
Sometimes Daddy loose
s hair. Ouch!

Uncle Jon reading to Brian. Yes, he's quite good at it!
On the golf course with Little Man...

And for the record, I do realize Lilah is not in any of these pictures with the boys. I will work on it!

Zoo Picks for the Complainers

Ha ha, just kidding girls...you know I love you!!

We have had two big Zoo trips in the last week or so. First we went with La La and Darrick. Brian had a blast with both of them. He was even dragging Darrick around by the hand before the day was over, so I think he has Brian's seal of approval.

Last week we went to an evening event with Matt and Shannon. It was a really fun scavenger hunt! Sadly, we did not win the rhino bubble bath, but we did have a good time and we got a great work out!! I promised I would post this lovely picture...

And here is one of the whole crew with local celeb Thane Maynard. Sadly I am not the best at taking pics that I am in, so Lilah is not really in the picture. Sorry, baby!!

3 Months

Miss Lilah turned 3 months old last week! It's been so much fun watching her develop this past month. She "talks" all the time. She is such a cooer! She also has great focus and will stare anyone down. She laughs out loud and has the sweetest two dimpled smile. She has even started to roll onto her side when on her back. This has just started happening in the past two or three days!

She is still a little chunk, although I call her my "petite" child because she's not nearly as chunky as Mr. Brian was at 3 months.

People keep saying her hair is getting redder, but I think she's just getting more of it. It's so pretty! And her eyes are still blue!

She was not very cooperative for her 3 month photo shoot this past weekend, but it could have had something to do with the photographers...I was not a fan. She did just fine for our "chair shoot" on her 3 month birthday. I feel like if I can get a good picture, a professional should be able to... We did get a couple of good ones and I'm excited to get those back!

There is no pedi appointment at 3 months, so don't have measurements. When I weigh her with me, she's only up about a pound from her 2 month weight. But she definitely is longer. See...

3 Months
2 Months 1 Month

We almost didn't get these (the 3 month pic) taken on the 12th, but we finally found some time in the evening! After taking these, I rocked with her for a good long while and she was talking up a storm. I took some shots of her just because I don't want to forget...

these chunky legs or these fat fingers or her sweet baby faceor the joy of watching a sleeping baby girl
Love that girl.

While We Weren't Unpacking

The last month has been crazy busy. Moving is hard. Moving with 2 children is VERY hard. We still have more to unpack, and more to move. It's insane! But we will just keep at it until it's finished.

Everything we use on a daily basis is where it should be. I even found my glue gun last night! (I do not use my glue gun daily, however I needed it for a few quick fixes and I may or may not have been driving Shawn crazy about it.) There are, however, no pictures hung. Unless you count the race track picture above the fireplace that is hanging on screws that were left by the previous owner. We also have random boxes here and there that need to be unpacked. But it will get there. Right? Please say yes!

Anyway, we have been doing other things between unpacking. We have even been to the Zoo twice. (I have only taken the pictures off my camera from our first trip in late September with Uncle Jon.) Mostly, we have just been hanging around the house and getting the kids used to their new environment. Brian likes all the space. Lilah likes the ceiling fans.

Here are some random pictures from this past month...

Go Reds!

A few weeks ago, or maybe a month ago now (???) we took Brian and Lilah to their first Reds game. A friend of Mom's gave us a chance to sit in a box, which was a great way to take Brian to a game and avoid having his ears in jeopardy. Brian had a good time and even wore his hearing protection a few times! Lilah enjoyed herself as well. Unfortunately the Reds lost, but the kids didn't know the difference!
