We interrupt this regularly scheduled series of catch up blog posts to bring you breaking news! It's not often that I will blog out of order, but this news is more than worthy!
Brian and Lilah have a new cousin!! Patrick Gean was born yesterday afternoon weighing in at 8 lbs 8 oz and 20.5 inches long. Congratulations to my brother, Jon and SIL, Teri! This precious little bundle has stolen our hearts! Brian and Lilah get the "baby crazy" gene from their Mama and they are quite smitten! Brian had to take the PERFECT picture of Patrick to his last day of school today to show off his new cousin.
We love you Patrick!!!

Face Painting
I've written on the blog before about Brian's sensory issues. He has pretty much overcome these, but there are times when they resurface (ie. stressful situations, something new). One of the sensory aversions he had never gotten past was face painting. The very thought of it sent him into a fit of tears. Lilah LOVES to have her face painted and we used to offer it to Brian too, but it became a sore topic and we stopped pushing. I mean, who really cares if he wants his face painted, right? BUT at his Family Counts Night, he decided he was over it. He ASKED to have his face painted. He actually had it painted TWICE! And then at the zoo recently they had "member appreciation" and he ASKED to have his whole face done. Trust me, it's a big deal! Just another way we've seen him break out of his shell and it's so nice to see.

Easter...YES IT'S MAY!
I am a terrible blogger. I am just not able to find the time to keep up. BUT I WANT TO! I want to have a record for my kids and of my kids! So yes, here I am posting about Easter. In MAY! I know, I suck.
Easter was a lot of fun for the kids this year. We got to be a part of several Easter Egg hunts...the one at our house for Shawn's family Easter alone would have been more than enough...there were soooooo many eggs! The kids enjoyed the time with family as always. They were spoiled rotten, as always. Now for pictures!

Lilah got to try on the bunny suit at St. Pat's hunt...a little creepy!! |
All dressed up for Mass and brunch with Nana and Pappy! |
Yes, they got new bikes for Easter. They were due and it didn't make sense to wait until their birthdays! |
This girl is a BEAST hunting eggs! |
Ashley got "confetti eggs"! These were a HUGE hit with the kids. I am still finding confetti in my house. IN MAY! |
We got to release our butterflies on the day the cousins came for Easter. So cool! We will definitely do this again! |
