Face Painting

I've written on the blog before about Brian's sensory issues.  He has pretty much overcome these, but there are times when they resurface (ie. stressful situations, something new).  One of the sensory aversions he had never gotten past was face painting.  The very thought of it sent him into a fit of tears.  Lilah LOVES to have her face painted and we used to offer it to Brian too, but it became a sore topic and we stopped pushing.  I mean, who really cares if he wants his face painted, right?  BUT at his Family Counts Night, he decided he was over it.  He ASKED to have his face painted.  He actually had it painted TWICE!  And then at the zoo recently they had "member appreciation" and he ASKED to have his whole face done.  Trust me, it's a big deal!  Just another way we've seen him break out of his shell and it's so nice to see.
