Dauphin Island 2016

Our trip to Dauphin Island this year did not begin as planned.  We decided to drive the entire way with out stopping for the first time which put us in Tennessee around lunchtime in the rain.  We were sideswiped while trying to go around another accident.  What a headache!  Thankfully no one was hurt.  Our van took quite a beating though!

After sitting on the side of the expressway for 2.5 hours, we made our way to Target where Shawn made some repairs.  With a lot of wind noise, we made our way to Alabama!

Once there we had to deal with an allergic reaction to the laundry detergent used in the rental (me) and a sinus infection (Lilah), but after that it was a great trip as always!

We went knowing that this may be our last trip to Dauphin Island, so the trip was a little sad.  We look forward to following Whitney to her next beach community...wherever that may be! 

A guy named Brian did catch this fish, but our Brian is just holding it :)

It should also be noted that Dauphin Island has added an ice cream truck and a putt putt course since our last trip there.
