Typical

For the first time as parents, Shawn and I are dealing with "typical" baby issues. We know how to deal with a mild hearing loss, plagiocephaly and torticollis. Most parents don't even know how to pronounce two of three of those! But we've been there, done that.

With Miss Lilah, we are at a loss though. Baby acne? Diaper rash? Colic? Immature/clogged tear ducts? What in the world do you do for these ailments!?

My point is that with Brian, we were swept into a world of such major issues, we probably didn't even notice the minor ones. Everyday we felt like we were facing something new and huge and we were totally overwhelmed.

Funnily enough, we still get overwhelmed this time around with the very minor, and very normal issues Lilah is facing.

The colic is especially overwhelming and concerning. She hasn't been officially diagnosed, but Dr. Google says that babies who cry for long periods of time, around the same time each day, and cannot be consoled are likely dealing with colic. Fits her to a T.

And unfortunately her choice time for crying is between 10p.m. and 1a.m. each day. Awesome.

It will get easier, it will get easier, it will get easier.

Right?
