Lilah's first dance recital was in May and boy was she excited! She could hardly sleep the night before. The morning of the recital we had to be at a rehearsal. It was so fun to see her awe as we entered the huge theater and found her friends. They were all giddy!

We stayed at the rehearsal and watched a few of the other dances and then headed back home. We decided to go out to dinner before the recital and get Lilah ready downtown. There was a lot going on downtown and we didn't want to be late. We got Lilah dressed around 4 and took (more than) a few pictures and then put her in regular clothes to eat. The kids love being downtown so this was a treat!
After dinner, we headed to the theater. She went right to her teachers and we headed inside to get settled in our seats. Shockingly (haha, not really!) Lilah was not even a little bit afraid once she got to the stage. Mom and I were in the front row and we could see her waiting in the wings. She gave us a little wave and then bravely led her class on stage. She was completely in her element on stage. I was so proud of her!
At the end of the show Lilah's class was the last on stage for the finale. She was completely exhausted..what a long night!
